OAPIL gets ISO certification
MUSCAT: OAPIL has been awarded the certificate of approval by the DNV for Integrated Management Systems (IMS), which confirms the compliance to the three International Standards — ISO 9001:2008 for Quality, 14001:2004 for Environment and ISO 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety. The certificate was handed over during a ceremony held at OAPIL in the presence of OAPIL board of directors and management team.
“We are pleased and proud to have received the three ISO accreditations for Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 and ISO 18001:2007), demonstrating once again our commitment to the highest standards of quality, safety and the surrounding environment,” said Frederic, OAPIL CEO. He said that the OAPIL has carried out the specific requirements for certification to be among the world-class organisation, enabling it to enter in new markets, and increase and expand their operations and customers. Being awarded ISO certificates is one of the OAPIL’s key achievements as it is one of the most im- portant goals that many organisations around the world aspire by meeting international standardisation requirements.
The ISO certification was an extension of the on-going efforts of OAPIL in applying the international standards of quality, safety and environment in all work aspects. All procedures and policies in the organisation has undergone for audit and review by authorised representatives of the accreditation body DNV, which granted the certificates on behalf of the International Organisation for Standardisation, i.e. ISO.
