Oman Air’s business class lounge among world’s best
MUSCAT: Oman Air’s Business Class lounge at Muscat International Airport has once again garnered international acclaim. The lounge has been awarded a topfive position on Hipmunk’s list of ‘The Top 20 Airport Lounges in the World’. Furthermore, it is the highest-placed lounge in the Middle East region.
Founded in 2010 and based in San Francisco, Hipmunk’s website and mobile apps offer its customers a fast, easy way to plan travel. The company also publishes a digital magazine, Tailwind, in which the ‘Top 20 Airport Lounges…’listing was published. The list has since been published by a number of international titles, including Travel Daily News and travelpulse.com.
Hipmunk worked with online information specialists Priceonomics to analyse data from Skytrax, the independent airline and airport quality experts. Thousands of travellers have posted comments on the Skytrax website about airport lounges and have ranked them on a range of services, such as comfort, Wi-Fi, food, and staff friendliness.
Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Gregorowitsch, welcomed the accolade, saying: “We are delighted that Oman Air’s Business Class lounge at Muscat has been recognised in this way. We first opened the lounge in January 2011 and it is clear that our premium guests have greatly appreciated its elegant design, relaxing atmosphere and exceptional services. And since we reopened the lounge earlier this year, following extensive refurbishment, it has attracted even greater acclaim.
