Bank Sohar opens new branch in Oman Avenues Mall
MUSCAT: In line with its 2015 objective to deliver excellence across all aspects of customer service, Bank Sohar has announced the opening of its first ever branch at the Oman Avenues Mall in Bausher to offer full-fledged banking services with extended evening business hours till 9:30pm.
The fully functional branch will offer the bank’s complete portfolio of products and services. This addition to branch network marks the opening of the 27th branch since Bank Sohar opened for business in April 2007, says a press release.
The opening of the new branch took place in the presence of R. Narasimhan, GM of Retail Banking, senior management members of the bank, and Amjad Mahmood Al Raisi, senior branch manager of the new branch. The first customer who opened a saving account in the branch was honoured by the management members and was presented with a gift.
Commenting on the official opening of the branch, Rashad Ali Al Musafir, the acting CEO of the bank said, “In keeping with Bank Sohar’s vision of taking our customer service to the next level and offer them an even more immersive and personalised banking experience, the new branch is designed with customer convenience as the singular standout feature. Taking into consideration the banking requirements of customers and the need to react immediately to changing market dynamics, the Mall was an ideal location to help us strategically bolster our branch network in the region.”
The new branch houses a spacious design with clear demarcation of the areas covering a range of customer friendly facilities. Manned by qualified and friendly staff, the branch will offer customers with its entire range of prod- ucts and services every day from 10am till 4pm and advisory and processing assistance from 5pm to 9:30pm. A new token system is installed to ensure all customers are tended to in the most timeefficient manner. As with Bank Sohar’s other branches, the Avenues Mall branch will also offer customers full-fledged ATM and CDM facilities. Clients visiting the branch will also enjoy the benefit of free Wi-Fi and iPad access within the premises to take advantage of the bank’s online ‘real time & anywhere’ banking IT platform for the convenience of its customers.
Narasimhan, said, “The opening of the new branch compliments our endeavour to become more accessible and convenient and will serve as a new platform to offer our distinctive retail offerings tailor-made to suit the growing financial requirements of customers.
