‘Discover America’ at Lulu offers best of US
The aim of this promotion is to bring the best of America to Oman
MUSCAT: The latest in the series of thematic promotions at Lulu, ‘Discover America’, organised in partnership with US Embassy, was inaugurated at Lulu Hypermarket, Baushar.
The aim of this promotion is to bring the best of America to Oman and provide the citizens with an opportunity to enjoy a slice of America here. The event is being organised for the first time in Oman, says a press release.
‘Discover America’ was inaugurated by Greta C. Holtz, US ambassador to Oman, along with Lulu officials marking the start of the celebration with the best of food products from America.
The event running through selected Lulu outlets in Oman will showcase a wide variety of related products, some exclusively for the Omani market.
Inaugurating the event Holtz said: “We thank Lulu for hosting the ‘Discover America’ week and are proud that the US products are on display here at Lulu. There are over 2,000 products that are fresh, high quality and the fact that these can be imported and sold here in Oman is a testament to the strong ties that we have between both these countries both commercially and culturally. There are a lot of Omanis who study in the United States and it is wonderful that they can come back and pick up their favourite products.”
‘Discover America’ will have racks stacked up with brands like Kellogg’s, McCain, Jell-O, Bertolli, Folgers, Smucker’s, Quaker, Gatorade, Pringles, Sunsweet, Hunt’s, M&M, Hershey’s, Kraft, Dole, Turkey Hill, Celeste, Eggo and many more. For the interest of the health conscious, the festival will include a variety of diabetic-friendly, gluten free and organic products.
Commenting on this unique initiative Ananth A. V., regional director of Lulu, said: “This is yet another first for Lulu in Oman and a part of the ever growing list of events at Lulu. We have since inception been importing some of the popular US products and with this promotion we intend to bring this to the forefront in terms of visibility through our stores. This is our small attempt to bring a slice of America to Oman.”
