Cartoon characters, clowns and magic shows enchant children
Carnival rides, clown acts, magic shows and cartoon characters roam around at Al Amerat Park providing great family entertainment
MUSCAT: Animated cartoon characters roaming around the Al Amerat Park are among the key attractions for children as well as their parents and guardians at the ongoing Muscat Festival.
More than a dozen cartoon characters can be seen entertaining the visitors and helping create memorable moments as the public take pictures and make short videos with them.
According to the visitors, the Al Amerat Park is providing a great entertainment for families this year. Carnival rides, clown acts, magic shows and cartoon characters are on hand for children of all ages. The main stage comes to life each day, with concerts and shows that have performances by leading stars from many countries.
Cartoon celebrities wandering around in Al Amerat Park, are inevitably encircled by crowds of children, who are thrilled to meet their famous and familiar heroes.
As children run to shake hands with them, their parents capture these special moments on their mobile phones, so as to share them with their families and friends.

“It’s fun for children to see their favourite cartoon characters in real life,” Abbas, an Indian expatriate said. According to the parents, they are really happy to see their children enjoying these moments with cartoon characters.
“These cartoon characters going around the park and greeting visitors, hugging children, posing for pictures, is an exciting sight,” Ali Akbar said. Famous characters also take part in occasional parades inside the festival venue, to give the visitors a chance to meet and greet the characters, and to take photos with them. “My child is not willing to come with us, he wants to enjoy his time with his favourite cartoon character,” Akbar added.
Magic shows
Clown acts and magic shows are also attracting the crowds to the park.
Even though the acts they perform are for children, everyone is enjoying it.
