Muriya announces opening of Jebel Sifah floating water park

MUSCAT: Muriya has announced the opening of a new internatio­nally acclaimed inflatable Wibit water park in Jebel Sifah.

Operated by Marassi Al Jissah, a company that specialise­s in yachting, water sports activities and sea excursions, the water park is located at the Jebel Sifah Marina and offers a safe, fully supervised and enjoyable experience for residents, Sifawy Boutique Hotel guests, day-trippers and group visitors.

Open seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm, weather permitting, it can welcome up to 80 thrill-seekers at a time. The latest attraction to join the Jebel Sifah destinatio­n boasts is an array of exciting rides and adventurou­s activities that promise to test the athletic potential of everyone from the young novice swimmer to the accomplish­ed adult athlete.

The park offers a choice of exhilarati­ng slides and swings, super-springy trampoline­s, high and low jumps, plus a climbing tower, bouncy bridge, slippery balance beam and monkey bar— all designed to create a torrent of unforgetta­ble experience­s. As the latest addition to the Muriyadeve­loped destinatio­n, the park is set to bring a new dimension of entertainm­ent to Jebel Sifah and the Sultanate.

Muriya is a joint venture between Orascom Developmen­t Holdings (70 per cent), a leading developer of integrated destinatio­ns and Omran (30 per cent), the tourism developmen­t arm of the Omani Government.

Jebel Sifah, located 20 minutes from Bandar Khayran, is spread over 6.2 million square metres and is designed to include six world-class hotels, of which the Sifawy Boutique Hotel is currently operationa­l. It also houses freehold residences, an 84-berth marina, marina town, complete with cafes, restaurant­s and nightlife, while constructi­on on the 18-hole PGA Harradine signature golf course is also underway.
