Bank Sohar holds 5th monthly draw in Ibra

The draws of Al Mumayaz Savings scheme conducted recently included the monthly OMR10,000 general draw, OMR1,000 children’s draw, OMR10,000 ladies draw (for two winners) and the exclusive OMR10,000 draw

MUSCAT: Bank Sohar, at a recent VIP gathering held at the Al Mawada Hall in Ibra, conducted its fifth Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2016 monthly draws, revealing the names of over 30 lucky winners for the month of June.

The draws conducted recently included the monthly OMR10,000 general draw, OMR1,000 children’s draw, OMR10,000 ladies draw (for two winners) and the exclusive OMR10,000 draw. The branch guaranteed draws, which saw one winner from each of the bank’s 27 branches win OMR1,000, were conducted earlier at the bank’s head office. In total, the monthly draws witnessed over OMR55,000 won by 32 winners across all categories, says a press release.

The special event was held un- der the auspices of Ahmed bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Barwani, member of the Shura Council - Wilayat of Ibra. Representi­ng Bank Sohar at the event were Khalfan Rashid Al Taley, DGM and head of Operations, Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi, senior AGM & acting head - Retail Banking, and Amour Al Habsi, the district manager of interior district, together with other senior members of the bank, who welcomed the chief guest and the bank’s VIP customers from the area.

Commenting on the occasion, Khamis Al Rahbi said: “With each draw, our family of Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme winners grows larger and has already totalled well over 700 for this year alone. Our ultimate goal with the scheme has always been to instil the habit of savings in our customers. With our increased frequency of draws and guaranteed winners across our entire branch network every month, linked with the success stories of our Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Winners, we are witnessing a positive change in our customer’s savings habits this year.”

The event was inaugurate­d by Saad Said Al Shidhani, senior branch manager - Ibra Branch, who delivered the welcome address. Following the speeches, the poet Turki Al Habsi enthralled the audience with a mesmerisin­g poetry recital. Shortly thereafter, performers from Sawout Al Moujtam’a Theatre Band put on a stunning performanc­e about the bank.

A video showcasing the highlights of the previous year’s savings scheme was then played.

Following a special audience draw, the five major draws of the savings scheme were conducted by the guest of honour; beginning with the children’s draw which saw S. Mohamed (Minor), from the Bank’s Al Qurum Branch, win OMR1,000. The two ladies draws saw Afifa Al Darmaki, from the Bank’s Barka Branch, and Raqiya Al Rawas, from the Bank’s Salalah Branch, win OMR5,000 each; while the exclusive draw saw H. M. A., from the Bank’s Al Qurum branch, win OMR10,000. The final draw of the day was the general draw for the month of May, which saw A.A.M., from the bank’s Al Qurum branch, win OMR10,000.

The monthly branch guaranteed draws conducted earlier at the bank head office, witnessed a customer from each of the bank’s branches win OMR1,000.

S. A. from the Ruwi branch, N. M. S. from the Al Qurum branch, Sanad Al Hinai from the Ibri Branch, Ahmed Al Badi from the Sohar branch, Hamdoon Al Wahaibi from the Jaalan Bani Bu Ali branch, Abdullah Al Nabhani from the Nizwa branch, S. A. G. from the Al Khoudh branch, Al Julanda Al Rabani (Minor) from the Bahla branch, Salim Al Wadhahi from the Qurayat branch, Salim Amur from the Ibra branch, AbdulMajid Al Araimi (Minor) from the Sur branch, Hamed Said from the Al Buraimi branch, Nawal Al Barwani from the Al Azaiba branch, Abdullah Al Reesi from the Shinas branch, Sulaiyam Al Balushi from the Al Amerat branch, Tharaya Al Mahrouqi from the Sinaw branch, Ghalib Al Fulaiti from the Al Khuwair branch, Said Ali Al Balushi from the Al Khabourah branch, and Saleh Al Shekaili from the Avenues Mall branch.

Following the draws, the chief guest was presented with a token of appreciati­on by Khalfan Rashid Al Taleyon behalf of the bank.
