Isuzu N-Series Reward: A performance benchmark in its segment

-

MUSCAT: More than 80 years have passed since the first Isuzu truck pulled out of the factory and onto the road, an event that marked the start of Isuzu’s steady rise to its current prominence both as Japan’s best-selling truck manufacturer and as a major force for innovation that is helping to lead the global automobile industry in the 21st century.

N-Series Reward, one of the flagship products from this iconic manufacturer brings higher performance on every level with styling, power, economical operation and safety features. By offering a wide range of GVM, the N-Series Reward meets the needs of business with a model perfect for every application while working in harmony with society and the environment.

The styling of the N-Series Reward has been widely acclaimed for its sculpted looks that combine with highest levels of functionality. What makes this powerful statement in the Isuzu N-Series Reward? Below are the highlights. • Cab design: The Boxy cab design of the N-Series Reward is much appreciated. With upright front pillars and side body, this design combines functional beauty and aerodynamics while making efficient use of space. • Hexa-Pod: The design philosophy embodied by all Isuzu trucks is defined as a “slightly enlarged hexahedron. The concept is “Solid, Clean and Emotional,”: functional beauty with no unnecessary lines, facets or frame elements. • Professional styling for a professional tool: The styling is simple and powerful for timeless appeal. Aggressively delineated frontend components and a six-hole continental grille are the identifying mark of Isuzu vehicles that make a distinctive statement. • Aerodynamic perfection: The aero

dynamic front corners and roof cut air resistance especially when rear cargo bodies are mounted, contributing to better fuel economy. • Excellent ingress/egress: The upright front pillars allow doors to open to a wide angle and provide a larger door opening for effortless cab access. Also contributing to ingress/egress are the longer steps and expanded floor areas. • Vertical outside handles: Vertical handles make it easier to access tall vehicles. In addition, grips are designed to accommodate thick gloves. The safety features of the N-Series Reward are legendary. We have picked-out some of the salient aspects that make the vehicle one of the safest in its class. • ELR 3-point system seatbelts (Center seat : 2-points): Effectively restrain and protect driver and passengers during a collision. • Reinforced door waist: Minimises distortion in the shape of the cab in the event of accident. • Wide field of vision: Drivers enjoy a clear view of the area surrounding the vehicle, making safety checks easy and reducing driving fatigue. • Compound curvature outside mirrors: Mirror surfaces feature a compound curvature, enhancing indirect views. • Multi-reflector halogen headlamps: Clear resin lenses and step reflectors provide outstanding illumination over a broad area to improve nighttime visibility and safety. • Door-side turning lamps: Improved side visibility alerts others sharing the road to the presence of the vehicle and helps prevent accidents. Cornering lamps are also available. • Jet wipers: Enhanced wiper per

formance for a clear windshield. • Exhaust brake-linked lamps: Engaging the exhaust brake activates the brake lamps, warning

following vehicles. • Front and rear drum brakes: Extra-large brakes improve braking performance. • Enhanced Braking: Full air braking in GVM 9.5 ton model is engineered for tough conditions and meets ECE regulations. A wheel park lever locks wheels in place. • The instrument panel uses a “hard wave” motif to expand the sense of interior space. Curved cockpit surfaces are designed to fit natural hand movements and put controls at drivers’ fingertips. Even the form and angle of switches are carefully considered, resulting in a dramatic improvement in operability. • LED meters: Meter panel graphics are totally renewed and incorporate ISO-compliant warning symbols. Meters are easy to refer, allowing drivers to confirm vehicle status at a glance. • More space for DIN devices: Vehicles are being equipped with more devices that use DIN connectors, and there is plenty of room to neatly install information terminals and audio equipment. Up to six DIN devices can be installed thus extending the versatility of the N-Series Reward even further.

Enhanced vehicle operability: World-class comfort, expanded tilt/telescopic adjustment and effortless power steering are all standard, giving operators total control over both the vehicle and cab environment. The seats recline up to 26.5 degrees and the hip-point is aligned for a more natural driving position and improved visibility.

The N-Series debuted in the Japanese market back in 1959. Over the years, the model has become synonymous with light-duty trucks, thanks to continuous innovation and superior quality. Isuzu’s unmatched diesel technology has enabled the series to repeatedly set new standards for environmental impact and fuel economy.

The N-Series with its functional, stylish design and safety engineering have emerged as one of the clear favourites for demanding applications where uncompromising standards of performance, safety and reliability are called for.OTE Group represents Isuzu in the Sultanate of Oman.
