Emmet Jennings emerges overall winner at MRR Winter Series race
MUSCAT: Emmet Jennings emerged the overall winner at the second race of the Muscat Road Runners Zawawi Colas Winter Series organised here recently.
The second race of the series took place at Al Ghubra Lakes Park with 65 people racing a fast and flat 10k around Al Ghubra and the Ministries district.
After a stiff competition, Em- met Jennings took the overall top honours in a time of 35:13. Edward Black in 37:07 took the second place while Stephen Griffiths in 42:39 finished third. Birgit Schulz was the first female and fifth overall in a time of 43:45.
The winner of the 3.5km junior race was James in a time of 19:43. Ollie finished second in 22:31 and Lucy third in 27:38.
The organisers thanked race directors, the volunteers, water stations, photographs and Winter Series sponsors Zawawi Colas for supporting the event.
