The store features the full-range of Centrepoint’s current Autumn Winter collection of fashion, kids wear, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and home décor in-store this season
MUSCAT: Landmark Group opened its 135th Centrepoint outlet as the retailer continues to grow its presence within the Middle East.
The new Centrepoint store opened by Ali Malallah Habib, chairman of Al Habib & Co. at Qurum City Centre on Sunday marks the opening of Centrepoint’s eighth store in Oman, says a press release.
Centrepoint is one of the region’s largest fashion retailer and is renowned for the breadth of its fashion and cosmetics product range. The popular retailer caters to the midmarket segment across the Middle East and houses home-grown concepts, Babyshop, Splash, Shoe Mart and Lifestyle, under its umbrella.
Qurum City Centre, located in the city centre of Muscat, houses an interesting retail mix of international and regional fashion brands. It is the first shopping mall being introduced to the area of Qurum and the new Centrepoint store will cater to the residential mix of Omani nationals and expatriates based in the area, which is reflective of the brand’s customer demographic. The store features the full-range of Centrepoint’s current Autumn Winter collection of fashion, kids wear, shoes, acces- sories, cosmetics and home décor in-store this season.
“The Qurum City Centre store has enabled Centrepoint to increase its foothold in Oman, where we see positive growth. Centrepoint’s size and strategic lo- cation within the mall makes it one of the anchor stores and we hope to increase overall footfall to the area through our attractive offering,” stated Simon Cooper, head of Centrepoint. He added, “We have seen an enthusiastic response to Centrepoint by shoppers in Oman and look forward to further expansion in the region.”
Manu Jeswani, CEO of Centrepoint, said, “As a testament to our confidence in the consumer sentiment in Oman, the Centrepoint store opening in Qurum City Centre in Muscat will be followed by four more across the GCC states by the end of the year. Overall, Centrepoint aims to reach 139 outlets by year’s end as part of its regional expansion plans.”
