-

MUSCAT: With the 2017 Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme now in full swing, Bank Sohar conducted its latest weekly draws recently at the MBD branch in Muscat.

These draws, conducted for the second week of February, comprised the children’s weekly draws which saw five minor accounts each win OMR100, the general weekly draws which saw two customers bank-wide win OMR1,500 each, and the exclusive weekly draw which saw one customer win OMR5,000. With over 1,350 prizes to be won in this year’s Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme, this is the perfect time to make the move to Bank Sohar, says a press release.

The weekly draw event was overseen by Redha Al Lawati, senior chief manager of Liabilities and Sales, Fahad Al Hooti, Muscat District Regional Manager, and Salam Salim Al Tubi, senior chief manager of the MBD branch, in addition to other senior staff members and customers.

Commenting on the 2017 Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme and congratulating the winners of the weekly draws, Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi, Senior AGM and acting head of Retail Banking said, “Our 2016 Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme has already begun receiving very positive feedback from customers across the country, with many pleased with the continuation of our hourly draws again this year as well as wit- nessing over 1,350 prizes we are giving away covering the broadest spectrum of winners across our branch network. With eight prizes being given away with each weekly draw, they are consistently growing in popularity with each new one we conduct. On behalf of the bank, I would like to congratulate the winners of this week’s draws and wish all our customers the best of luck in all the draws to follow.”

In addition to the weekly draws, the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme is holding several other draws throughout the year covering all customer demographics across all branches of the bank; chief among which is the hourly prize draws. Making a return from last year, the hourly prize draws are held from Sunday to Wednesday with a total of four winners of OMR1,000 each day. In order to be eligible for this draw, customers need only open the prize based savings account with Bank Sohar and maintain a minimum average balance of OMR100 only.

“Our hourly draws have been among our most successful and popular draws ever since they were first introduced in 2014. It has since seen well over large number of customers across all branches win cash prizes as part of the scheme; a number that keeps getting larger with each passing day,” added Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi.
