Eight winners announced at NBO’s first Al Kanz Youth savings draw

-

MUSCAT: The first 2017 draw from National Bank of Oman’s (NBO) flagship Al Kanz Youth savings scheme took place at the Higher College of Technology, Muscat, with eight youth banking customers winning OMR300 each.

The Al Kanz draw scheme was updated in 2017 to include rewards dedicated solely to the bank’s Youth Banking account holders and ensure that customers from each region of the Sultanate are guaranteed to win, says a press release.

Commenting on the ceremony, John Chang, general manager and chief retail banking officer at NBO, said: “It is with great pleasure that we are able to celebrate the first Al Kanz Youth savings scheme of 2017 with eight lucky winners. The Sultanate’s youth are important to NBO, and we are delighted to announce that we will be rewarding a total of 80 Youth Banking account holders this year with our flagship initiative. Throughout the course of 2017, we look forward to continuing our efforts of promoting a culture of saving across Oman.”

The Al Kanz youth event included ‘Mazar’ an award winning local production that won six awards at the 4th GCC Theatre Festival for Persons with Disabilities.

The Al Kanz account is a flagship NBO product that offers customers the chance to grow their savings without risking their capital. Customers who maintain a minimum monthly average balance of OMR100 or above are eligible to participate in the monthly prize draws. Opening an account is easy and the earlier customers make a deposit and the longer they retain it, the higher their chances of winning.
