ISD conducts graduation day
MUSCAT: Indian School Darsait (ISD) organised Graduation Day for its outgoing batch of Grade XII at a function held recently. The programme began with a ceremonial procession of students and their teachers along with dignitaries to the auditorium. Finely clad in graduation gowns Grade XII looked highly impressive. Alexander Gee Varghese, vice principal, Senior Section, welcomed the gathering and expressed his joy over the presence of Ajayan Poyyara, chief guest and president, School Management Committee, Biju Samuel, vice president, Thomas George, convener, members of SMC, Principal, staff, parents and students. Class teachers, Jyothi Sukhadiya (XII A), Premela Issac (XII B), Jyothilakshmi Ranjit (XII C) and Ekta Gautam (XII D), introduced their classes to the audience and read out proudly a brief profile of students. Aswathy Unnikrishnan (XII A), Nima Begum (XII B), Zeeshan Farooque (XII C) and Libni Susan Babu (XII D) who represented their classes, shared reminiscences of happy days at ISD with nostalgia. Abhijith V., head boy and Gopika Ganga Nair, head girl expressed their gratitude to the school. The parting students presented an amount of OMR347.500 to their Alma mater as a token of love and gratitude. The chief guest conferred Grade XII students with certificates of course completion and mementos while several of them were honoured with awards of special recognition for their outstanding performance in extracurricular activities. In addition, certificates of recognition were given away to a few of them for cent percent attendance.
