Omani executive management team members of BankDhofar promoted

MUSCAT: BankDhofar, the leading bank in the Sultanate, has announced the promotion of a number of BankDhofar’s Omani executive management team members.

The promotion was in pursuit of the Best Bank in the Gulf ‘BIG’ Corporate Strategy, aligning Human Resources (HR) strategy and objectives has taken a top priority for the team, BankDhofar has developed Human Resources Together 2020 Transforma­tion Journey with a clear road map in terms of objectives, strategy and programmes and projects that will be implemente­d by the human resources team, says a press release.

The executive members who have been promoted are:

1. Faisal Hamed Al Wahaibi - general manager and chief retail banking officer

Faisal has more than 20 years of experience in banking and has attended leadership, management, and banking programmes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri, USA.

2. Kamal Hassan Al Murazza - general manager and chief wholesale banking officer

Kamal has more than 17 years of experience in banking and has attended leadership, management, and banking programmes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University, USA and attended several specialise­d banking programmes in Oman and internatio­nally.

3. Ahmed Said Al Ibrahim – general manager and chief corporate services officer

Ahmed Said Al Ibrahim has more than 22 years of experience which includes management, sales and marketing, government banking. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communicat­ion from Sultan Qaboos University. He has also attended the executive leadership programme and several other programmes in management, business and banking.

4. Issam Mohsin Al Balushi - AGM and head of Compliance

With rich experience of over 14 years in both business and control side of banking, Issam is a post Graduate in Internatio­nal Trade from Victoria University, Australia, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and completed his Internatio­nal Diploma in Compliance from Internatio­nal Compliance Associatio­n (ICA) in associatio­n with Manchester Business School.

Commenting on this occasion, Eng. Abdul Hafidh Salim Rajab Al Aujaili, BankDhofar’s chairman said, “The new organisati­on structure comes in step with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said’s vision of developing Omanis and has been developed to realign the bank to achieve its strategic objectives, focus on customerce­ntricity, reinforce the control environmen­t, and provide more career developmen­t opportunit­ies for talented Omanis.”

Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, BankDhofar’s acting CEO mentioned, “These promotions come in line with the strategy of promoting competent Omani employees who have recorded remarkable career achievemen­ts and leadership skills. We are confident that the new structure will ensure that BankD- hofar continues as the leading bank in the Sultanate of Oman with the strongest executive talent.
