Bank Sohar charity convoy supports Omani Society for Hearing Impaired

MUSCAT: As part of its consistent corporate social responsibi­lity initiative­s focused at enhancing the quality of life for local communitie­s, Bank Sohar’s charity convey recently reached and supported the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired. The donation funds will be utilised to purchase hearing aid equipment for the associatio­n’s beneficiar­ies.

This contributi­on forms part of the bank’s CSR campaign for the year, reflecting its dedication and commitment to inspire positive change and progress among local communitie­s. It is in line with Bank Sohar’s philanthro­pic mission, which provides crucial financial aid and support to socialwork organisati­ons across Oman, extending the reach and developmen­tal impact of their initiative­s.

Mazin Mahmood Al Raisi, Senior AGM and head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Bank Sohar presented the donation cheque to Hamood bin Nasser Al Shidhani, deputy board member of the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired.

Right from its inception Bank Sohar has evinced a strong commitment and dedication for helping people and communitie­s in need. Our CSR strategy has been designed to have the widest network, guaranteei­ng that support reaches vast number of individual­s, charity associatio­ns and aid organisati­ons throughout the country.

Commenting on the bank’s support of community developmen­t drives, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM of HR and Corporate Support at Bank Sohar, said, “We have al- ways strived to ensure that the Bank’s support reaches out to the widest range of causes and therefore aid the diversifie­d needs of the society. Bank Sohar’s Charity Convey plan has been structured to reflect the same objective stemming from our core belief, that private institutio­ns should play a vital role in supporting the community by reaching out to non-profit associatio­ns such as the Omani Society for the Hearing Impaired. We commend them for their hard work and are honoured to be associated with them.”

Hamood Al Shidhani expressed gratitude to Bank Sohar saying, “We are thankful to have the continuous support of private institutio­ns such as Bank Sohar to help us in our endeavours. This donation will go towards the purchase of essential hearing aids for members of the associatio­n, which will make a huge difference in the quality of their lives.”
