-

MUSCAT: Dar Al Atta’a Association recently honoured Bank Sohar in recognition of its support for the organisation’s activities.

The bank was presented with a token of appreciation during the gala dinner held by Dar Al Atta’a at the Al Bustan Palace – Ritz Carlton Hotel under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Tariq Al Said. Representing Bank Sohar and receiving the token of appreciation was Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM of HR and Corporate Support together with Mazin Mahmood Al Raisi, Senior AGM and Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Bank Sohar.

As a financial institution with a strong focus on CSR and social development programmes towards the society, the recognition awarded for Bank Sohar by Dar Al Atta’a comes as a stimulus and incentive for more upcoming contributions to the organisation and other initiatives across the sultanate within the Bank’s Social Responsibility Programme.

Munira said, “This is indeed an auspicious moment for Bank Sohar and we thank Dar Al Atta’a Association for honouring us and recognising the value of our support. At Bank Sohar we always ensure giving back to society through our CSR initiatives, which are the result of the bank’s collective and concerted efforts. Our regular contributions are planned to meet the maximum number of charity associations across Oman, enabling them to meet their goals of enriching lives and building self-reliant communities.”

“We have made contributions to various projects undertaken by the association such as those relating to education, women’s empowerment, family welfare and much more. Additionally, Bank Sohar has lent extensive support to the vast majority of non-profit, social development organisations in the Sultanate as part of our ongoing CSR programmes. Our most effective CSR initiative is ‘RakkizWaSouq’ Road Safety awareness campaign where the bank shares important safety tips each month. These traffic awareness tips are directed at instilling better road sense and encouraging safe driving protocol among people to safeguard the lives of children and adults. We have already successfully rolled out a few important messages that advocate responsible and safe driving practices,” Munira added.
