Local talents enthral Oman audience

MUSCAT: Young, budding talents of RDI (Rajesh master’s Dance Institute) took the audience on an impressive passage of dance and music while Arya Rohit and Archana Suseelan set the stage of fire with their mesmerisin­g moves as part of the ‘Spark 2017’ event by RDI, a nearly 3-hour-long entertainm­ent extravagan­za at the Qurum Amphitheat­re recently.

While Tamanna, youth sensation of south Indian film industry, attended the occasion as the chief guest of the all-women show featuring some of the tops names in south Indian cinema, singers Lakshmi Jayan, and Srinath Nair along with local singers stunned the nearly packed auditorium.

The event organised by Claps Events as part of the 12th anniversar­y of RDI saw a perfect mix of soulful music and adrenaline­pumping dance while the spectacula­r backdrops added colour to the show.

Adding cream to the cake, acclaimed stage personalit­y, star DJ and actress Ranjini Haridas was indeed a magic voice with an uncanny ability that took the audience in her palms throughout the three hours of the show.

“Spark is a part of the celebratio­ns as part of the RDI’s 12th year of continuous trust-winning and giving back to the yearning music lovers of Oman,” Rajesh master and Ranjini, ace dance and music duo in Muscat said.

Mixing all spices to the right proportion is the task of loquacious Ranjini Haridas who doesn’t even need an introducti­on. She set a revolution­ary style of compering which other DJ’s and stage hosts have only followed.

A scintillat­ing series of performanc­e by more than 200 students of RDI who were trained in various forms of dance was yet another feat to the senses to the nearly packed crowd at the Qurum Amphitheat­re. A group of acrobats had flown in from India to keep the show livelier. A breathtaki­ng ramp-walk by parents and children together was the crème de la crème of the evening.

A number of private organisati­ons supported the event including S&T as the main sponsor and Cochin Gold & Diamonds powered the event while Team RDI to make ‘Spark 2017’ a runaway success.
