Bank Sohar hosts Iftar for corporate clients

MUSCAT: As part of its celebratio­ns during the holy month of Ramadan, Bank Sohar hosted an annual Iftar party for its corporate clients at Bait Al Shams – The Cave. In addition to symbolisin­g a gesture of appreciati­on for the ongoing trust and support of this customer base, the evening served as an ideal platform for socialisin­g, networking, strengthen ties in the corporate sector and forge new partnershi­ps.

A large number of individual­s attended the Iftar gathering from the corporate sector whereas representi­ng the bank and welcoming the guests to the event were Sasi Kumar, Acting CEO; Mustafa Ali Mukhtar, DGM & Acting Head Wholesale Banking; other senior officials from the Bank and members of staff from its Wholesale Banking Division.

Sasi Kumar said, “We are happy and honoured to once again celebrate the Holy month of Ramadan with our corporate clients. This Iftar is symbolic of the strong relationsh­ips we have built over the years and the loyalty and trust that has developed as a result. It is also a gesture of thanks and appreciati­on to our clients for staying with us all these years. These occasions help us connect better with our clients, strengthen relationsh­ips and gain a better understand­ing of their financial requiremen­ts.”

The positive turnout at the event is a reflection of the Bank’s strong lead in the wholesale banking segment, which has played a pivotal role in securing greater involvemen­t of the private sector in the economy’s growth. The division has helped to address the requiremen­ts of a broader range of customers – in the large, mid, emerging corporate segment and SMEs – by developing products that encompass the entire spectrum of financial requiremen­ts in the corporate sector.

Commenting on the bank’s longstandi­ng corporate partnershi­ps, Mustafa Ali MukhtarDGM & Acting Head Wholesale Banking, said, “Bank Sohar’s Wholesale Banking Division has witnessed continuous growth since inception thanks to the support and loyalty of our clients in the sector.
