Lam­borgh­ini su­per­car, other ve­hi­cles de­stroyed in car work­shop blaze

MUS­CAT: A Lam­borgh­ini su­per­car worth OMR170,000 was burnt out af­ter a wok­shop fire in Mus­cat, of­fi­cials have con­firmed. The yel­low sports car, a 2017 model, was de­stroyed af­ter the fire broke out at Shan­fari Auto- mo­tive in Al Khuwair on Mon­day morn­ing.

Fire doused

The Public Author­ity for Civil De­fence and Am­bu­lance (PACDA) quickly brought the fire un­der con­trol with no re­ports of ca­su­al­ties.

Sheikh Zakaria bin Said Al Shan­fari, man­ag­ing direc­tor, Shan­fari Group of Com­pa­nies, said: “One Lam­borgh­ini and some other ve­hi­cles caught fire.”

Of­fi­cials stressed that the fire broke out at the work­shop and not in the showroom.

Apart from the Lam­borgh­ini, sev­eral other ve­hi­cles and mo­tor­cy­cles were also stored in the work­shop.

Last month, a fire in a com­mer­cial build­ing in Al Khuwair had in­jured three peo­ple.

The fire left a num­ber of neigh­bour­ing shops dam­aged, and dam­aged three ve­hi­cles.
