Sixt Rent a Car appoints Travel Point as franchisee in Oman

MUSCAT: Sixt Rent a Car, has appointed Travel Point in Oman as its franchisee partner, during a signing ceremony that took place in May in Munich, Germany.

Arabia Cars, the car rental division of Travel Point will now operate as Sixt Oman, to support and partner with the internatio­nal expansion strategy of Sixt.

Sixt is one of the biggest car rental companies in the world with an experience in mobility for more than 100 years and more than 220,000 vehicles at their disposal.

“We are delighted to be appointed as the Franchisee for Sixt in the country. This is indicative of the company’s vision and the direction we are heading in. It is an achievemen­t of immense pride,” said Sunil Prabhakar, CEO – Travel Point.

Sixt is proud to extend its internatio­nal network to Oman. The premium mobility provider will be welcoming its customers at the Muscat Internatio­nal airport as well across 5 branches of Travel Point across Oman, from where Arabia Cars used to operate. The head office will be located at Al Said Plaza, Qurum with branches at Muscat Internatio­nal Airport, Salalah, Nizwa and Duqm in phase 1, extending further to all 44 Travel Point outlets across Oman. The company also has plans for further expansion across the country.

Sixt Oman will offer a wide range of mobility solutions: Short- and long-term rentals and leasing. Sixt Oman will be able to cover mobility needs from one day with classic car rental up to three years with comfortabl­y leasing, tailor-made for every customer. Customers can choose from a premium fleet of sedan, SUVs, AWDs and 4WDs.
