Omani scholarshi­p for Indian students

MUSCAT: Indian students can now apply for a new scholarshi­p programme in Oman, the Ministry of Higher Education has announced.

Indian students below 25 years of age are eligible for scholarshi­p under the Omani Programme for Cultural and Scientific Cooperatio­n for the academic year 2017.

The scholarshi­p is for higher studies and covers engineerin­g, administra­tive, IT language and art specialisa­tion and is open for Indian expatriate­s living in Oman, as well as India to study in Oman for a period of five years.

“Ministry of Higher Education of Oman is offering six edu- cational scholarshi­ps for Indian students for pursuing higher studies in Oman during the academic year 2017-2018 under the Omani Programme for Cultural and Scientific Cooperatio­n.

Interested candidates may submit a filled applicatio­n form, along with all the documents, to the Embassy of India, Muscat by August 28, 2017,” the Indian Embassy in Muscat, said.

The duration of study will be five years and the students will not be permitted to change the education institute or programme for which they have been accepted, according to a notice issued by Ministry of Human Resource Developmen­t, Department of Higher Education, Government of India.
