Omani scholarship for Indian students
MUSCAT: Indian students can now apply for a new scholarship programme in Oman, the Ministry of Higher Education has announced.
Indian students below 25 years of age are eligible for scholarship under the Omani Programme for Cultural and Scientific Cooperation for the academic year 2017.
The scholarship is for higher studies and covers engineering, administrative, IT language and art specialisation and is open for Indian expatriates living in Oman, as well as India to study in Oman for a period of five years.
“Ministry of Higher Education of Oman is offering six edu- cational scholarships for Indian students for pursuing higher studies in Oman during the academic year 2017-2018 under the Omani Programme for Cultural and Scientific Cooperation.
Interested candidates may submit a filled application form, along with all the documents, to the Embassy of India, Muscat by August 28, 2017,” the Indian Embassy in Muscat, said.
The duration of study will be five years and the students will not be permitted to change the education institute or programme for which they have been accepted, according to a notice issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India.
