ISD marks Independence Day

MUSCAT: The 71st Independence Day of India was commemorated at Indian School Darsait with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

Ajayan Poyyara, president, School Management Committee was the chief guest on the occasion and the presence of distinguished Members of SMC – Jaikish Pavithran, vice president; Thomas George, convener; Ashraf Valappil, treasurer; Nikhila Anilkumar, head of Academic Subcommittee; Afroz Ahmad, head of Staff Welfare, Health & Grievances Subcommittee; C. X. Varghese Tharakan, head of Sports Subcommittee; Ajit Vasudevan, head of Cultural and Co Curricular Sub- committee; principal, Dr Sridevi P. Thashnath; staff, students, parents and well-wishers of ISD added colour to the festivities.

Adorned in Tricolour, the ambience stirred unity and oneness among all those who had gathered for the celebration.
