Z-Corp supports Al Kifah team from Saham

MUSCAT: With an aim to promote football among the youth locally, The Zubair Corporatio­n (Z-Corp) has extended its support to Al Kifah team from Saham. Being part of the private sector, Z-Corp is keen on supporting the country’s sports developmen­t since it believes it is an area of vital importance in the national developmen­t process.

Over the past years, Z-Corp has played a key role in sponsoring and developing sports in the Sultanate by supporting local teams and sponsoring sports activities.

Speaking of the support to Al Kifah team, Ibrahim Al Salmi, Social Communicat­ion manager at The Zubair Corporatio­n said, “This is a great team that supports the local community in many ways. They encourage young Omani to display and improve their skills. We are incredibly proud of this partnershi­p.”

He added, “We believe our commitment to youth developmen­t can help Oman find its new generation of talented players. As a private sector player, Z-Corp is keen on implementi­ng a long-term strategy aimed at providing support for youth to invest their energies in a constructi­ve manner. Z-Corp has been supporting various activities that encourage young Omanis to take up sports and supporting this team is part of that strategy.”

Thanking Z-Corp, a spokespers­on for Al Kifah team from Saham, said, “We look forward to a fruitful long-standing relationsh­ip with Zubair. We are indebted to Z-Corp for their backing and it means a lot to the community. This encourages us to promote football among young people.”

Z-Corp had recently extended its support to Hay Al Dhahir team belonging to the Quriyat Club to organise the first Al Radif football championsh­ip. With an aim to help develop quality facilities to meet the needs of sportspers­ons locally, Z-Corp had helped Al Akhdhra football team belonging to the Mudhaibi wilayat in Al Sharqiyah governorat­e last year.

Z-Corp also supported Oman Club to organise football matches for senior players recently.

With an objective to recognise a unique talent, Z-Corp had honoured Oman’s well-known freestyle footballer Mohammed Al Nofli in 2016. Showcasing its commitment to endorsing sports and cultivatin­g sporting talent, Z-Corp had collaborat­ed with Walid bin Juma Al Obaidani, CEO of Suna Al Riyadha Company, to organise the qualifiers of the F5WC, the world’s largest amateur five-a-side football tournament.

Z-Corp understand­s the need for the developmen­t of youth for the progress of the nation. The group has continuous­ly worked towards guaranteei­ng the effective and sustainabl­e developmen­t of the youth and encouraged them to go out in the world and achieve their dreams.

Z-Corp keenly supports the developmen­t of sports in the country and encourage young talents. Demonstrat­ing its continued commitment to all kinds of sports, Z-Corp has been a partner and sponsor of different sports activities including football, handball, ice sports, volleyball, chess for many years.
