BankDhofar organises blood donation drive

MUSCAT: Striving to implement and participate in various activities and events that contribute to the development and well-being of the society, BankDhofar organised a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Department of Blood Banks Services.

BankDhofar staff enthusiastically supported the cause that comes within the Ministry of Health’s continuous efforts to assemble blood units from donors and to provide these units to healthcare institutions. The drive, which was split, into two days took place on August 7 at the head office building, while the second one was on August 9 at Al Khoudh branch.

Commenting on the initiative, Sami Omar Al Zadjali, executive manager - Marketing & Corpo- rate Communications, noted, “Blood donation helps healthcare institutions provide safe blood units for inpatients and those in need of urgent blood transfer. We at BankDhofar save no efforts to support healthcare providers across the Sultanate and to contribute to their work that aims to provide high-quality health services to meet the needs and requirements of the society.”

“In addition to its various health benefits for the donor, donating blood is a noble thing to do and it helps save lives and enhances the health and well-being of those who need it the most. This initiative comes as part of BankDhofar’s staff well-being programme, aiming at encouraging the staff to participate in causes that help in keeping good health,” Sami added.
