LAUSANNE: National CEO Programme (NCP) has started its third Cohort in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Initiated by the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Taskforce “Sharaka” and delivered through the Institute of Capability Development (ICD) at the Diwan of Royal Court, the NCP is contributing to the diversification of the Sultanate’s economy by developing a community of world-class private sector leaders.

The NCP provides the participants with the latest strategic leadership tools and techniques to help them redefine key sectors of the global economy and so to create value on their own terms.

The 1st module for the 3rd Co- hort has been redesigned to reflect the changing nature of the global economy.

Challenging environment

Flat oil prices, global socio-political instability and surprising international leadership choices have all made for a more challenging business environment – now more than ever, private sector leaders need to demonstrate agility and flexibility in how they prepare for and respond to uncertainty.

During the module, participants will explore key trends in the global environment and translate this into meaning for Oman’s private sector, their or- ganisations, their teams and their leadership roles.

Personal leadership coaches work with the participants to identify future ambitions, current obstacles and tactics for exploiting their leadership opportunities.

Time is spent exploring worldclass thinking in the Lausanne classroom, team building outside in the Alps and understanding organisational transformation through experiential visits to Hublot (Watch Makers), Nestlé and the Cern Institute. The 1st module also introduces participants to their leadership coaches and kick starts the project application process.
