Event focuses on harnessing workforce through engagement
MUSCAT: New Metrics, an Oman-based management consultancy firm, together with Qualtrics, the world’s leading management company, recently hosted an executive event on employee experience.
The event, held at the Crowne Plaza Muscat, was attended by senior executives and Human Resources professionals from various private sector organisations across the Sultanate.
“In tough economic times, companies tend to look at ways of cutting costs, usually through streamlining processes or reducing headcount. However, the real source of efficiency comes from harnessing the workforce through engagement. Employees represent valuable differentiators, and the ability to engage them is an empowering and positive process with proven results,” said Miriam Kugel, Client Engagement director at New Metrics.
“International studies show that a company with 500 employees experiences $4.6 million of losses a year caused by disengaged employees. Shifting these disengaged employees to becoming satisfied or highly engaged represents a significant costs saving and revenue raising opportunity. It is widely acknowledged that just a 5 per cent increase in employee engagement translates to a 3 per cent increase in sales revenue,” she added.
