Al Mouj Muscat to host Souq es Sabt

MUSCAT: Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s lifestyle destinatio­n, is all set to host the coming season of Souq es Sabt, Oman’s first farmers’ market, at The Walk every Saturday from November 2017 to April 2018.

A memorandum of understand­ing was signed between Al Mouj Muscat and Garland United in pursuance of Souq es Sabt to be hosted by Al Mouj Muscat for the coming 4 years.

The concept of Souq es Sabt was started by the Omani entreprene­ur Sara Al Asfoor four years ago and aims to promote homegrown businesses in Oman.

Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat said, “We are delighted to host Souq es Sabt for the coming 4 years as a great platform that has been empowering and supporting start-ups and aspiring entreprene­urs to promote their products and take their first steps towards establishi­ng a business. We at Al Mouj Muscat are committed to contributi­ng in promoting tourism by organising various events and Souq es Sabt will be a great addition to our events. It will as well bring joy to Al Mouj Muscat community as it provides an avenue to celebrate life.”

Sara said, “We appreciate the support of Al Mouj Muscat for allowing us to operate our fifth season at their premise. We guarantee a great experience for families, visitors and tourists. We are dedicated to providing an ecosystem that encourages small businesses and entreprene­urs to promote their products and services and in turn graduate from the stalls to a real business establishm­ent. ”
