Programme to sharpen staff skills

MUSCAT: A series of quality programmes aimed at raising the efficiency of administra­tive leaders in the Sultanate and providing them with the necessary knowledge to develop their practical abilities to carry out the tasks entrusted to them efficientl­y is being organised, said Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.

The fourth edition of the “Foundation­s and Guiding Principles of State Policy” programme started yesterday at the Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry .

It is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, in the presence of Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry.

The programme is being organised by the Ministry of Civil Service for the fourth year in a row in cooperatio­n with the Foreign Ministry - represente­d by the Diplomatic Institute and will last from December 10 to 14.

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, said that the importance of these programmes comes with the aim of refining skills and developing them and following up on what is new in this regard, referring to the role of the Foreign Ministry in this field, which comes within the framework of existing agreements and programs in this field, wishing participan­ts in the program success.

The programme will include a working paper on the Foreign Policy Foundation­s presented by Ambassador Dr. Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, Acting Undersecre­tary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Foreign Ministry and a working paper on regional and internatio­nal groups.
