ISG students win laurels at the World Scholars Cup

MUSCAT: The students of Indian School Al Ghubra had the proud privilege of winning gold and silver medals at the ‘Tournament of Champions’, the final round of this year’s World Scholars Cup that was held at Yale University in the US. The theme was ‘An Unlikely World’. The students were tested for their writing, debating and quizzing skills in the four team events. 12 students from ISG qualified for the global round which was held in Athens, Greece in which about 1500 students participat­ed. After a keenly contested round, eight students of ISG- Alisha Amjad, Aparna Krishnan Reshmy, Faiza Reza, Khadija Akbar, Kshama Mumbai, Nikitha Manoj Thomas, Nitu Andrews Machilath and Roshna Sharon Manogaran qualified for and participat­ed in the final round . The students of ISG came home with a rich harvest of medals. They won 8 gold medals, fourteen silver medals for their knowledge, writing and debating skills.
