Bank Muscat and Apollo Hospital join hands on easy payment plan

The new facility allows Bank Muscat credit card customers to avail services at Apollo Hospital Muscat, which can be paid in 12 equal monthly instalment­s with zero interest

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate and leading healthcare provider Apollo Hospital Muscat have joined hands to facilitate affordable healthcare services with an easy payment plan (EPP) scheme.

The new facility allows Bank Muscat credit card customers to avail services at Apollo Hospital Muscat, which can be paid in 12 equal monthly instalment­s with zero interest.

All Bank Muscat credit cardholder­s, excluding Meethaq and Corporate credit cardholder­s, are eligible for this offer.

The EPP is a scheme where customers can avail goods and services through credit card and repay in fixed equal monthly instalment­s at zero per cent interest. Amjad Al Lawati, assistant general manager - Cards and eBanking, and V. T. Saileswara­n, managing director of Apollo Hospital Muscat, signed the EPP agreement at the bank’s head office.

Amjad Al Lawati said, “Bank Muscat is delighted to join hands with Apollo Hospital Muscat to launch the EPP scheme that enhances value for customers and promotes a healthy lifestyle. The partnershi­p with Apollo Hospital Muscat will enable customers using Bank Muscat credit cards to avail a wide range of healthcare services. Bank Muscat credit cards, which spell convenienc­e and security, are a preferred mode of payment in Oman. The EPP scheme reiterates the bank’s commitment to promoting secure card payment in Oman.”

Customers can use all Bank Muscat credit cards, excluding Meethaq and Corporate credit cards, at Apollo Hospital Muscat for any treatment, cosmetic surgery, dental and other health ser- vices costing OMR100 and above and pay in equal instalment­s for 12 months at zero per cent interest.

Saileswara­n said, “Aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, Apollo Hospital Muscat is proud to extend the EPP scheme in partner- ship with Bank Muscat.

“The associatio­n between the two institutio­ns will give a boost and affordabil­ity to high-end health care services.

“The key benefits of the EPP scheme include zero per cent in- terest, allowing customers to avail services and pay later for a period of 12 months. Customers are not required to provide any additional documents and the scheme ensures affordabil­ity for high-end medical care.”
