Media family forum to be organised on January 31
MUSCAT: The second media family forum will be held on January 31, Dr. Abdul Monem bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information has announced.
To be organised by the ministry, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Radio & TV (PART) and Sultan Qaboos University, the events of the forum will take place at the SQU Cultural Centre.
He noted that the forum includes celebrating ‘ Humanising Media’ issue and honouring a number of Omani journalism pioneers.
Awards
During the event, the media excellence awards in journalism fields will be unveiled and a number of the Ministry of Information publications will be launched. Omani media men who won Arab and international awards in 2017 will be also honoured in the event.
He added that at the end of the forum, an exhibition includes pictures published about Oman in the international media in the past century will be opened.
The aim of this forum is to enhance the relationship between official organisations and media men, as well as availing a humanitarian media environment that supports the different media initiatives and efforts, he explained.
