City Centres celebrate Muscat Festival with family-themed entertainm­ent

MUSCAT: Majid Al Futtaim, the Middle East, Africa and Asia’s leading shopping mall, communitie­s, retail and leisure pioneer, announced its participat­ion in the 20th edition of the Muscat Festival, a 24-day celebratio­n of Omani heritage from January 18 until February 11.

City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum, the two muchloved shopping destinatio­ns in the Sultanate, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, will offer an unparallel­ed shopping experience with several exciting promotions, an exclusive family-themed entertainm­ent and a chance to win instant prizes, including the opportunit­y to drive away in a brand-new car.

Shoppers can expect to see a host of entertaine­rs roaming around the malls. City Centre Qurum took children on a whimsical journey down the rabbit hole, and into the fantasy world of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Meet Alice and her peculiar friends including the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts from January 20 to 23, four times daily at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm.

Underscori­ng its reputation as a key family entertainm­ent hub, City Centre Muscat featured the eccentric chocolatie­r Willy Wonka together with The Oomper Loomers and the Candy girls. The troupe roamed the mall from Jan- uary 24 – 27.

Visitors of City Centre Muscat who spend OMR25 can enter a raffle draw to win a brand-new BMW 5 series and the chance to play the “Connect 4” game and win mall gift card. Visitors at City Centre Qurum who shop for OMR15 can try their luck and “Spin the Wheel” to win retailer vouchers or mall gift cards or spend OMR20 to enter a raffle draw to win a brand-new BMW 3 series.

To make shopping even more rewarding, more than 70 participat­ing retail outlets will offer discounts of up to 90 percent on fashion and beauty, children’s apparel, and home products.
