OAMC’s centre gets a global role

OAMC’s Training Centre gets global accreditat­ion for programmes and courses in the field of aviation and airports

MUSCAT: The Training and Developmen­t Centre of Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) has obtained the Internatio­nal Accreditat­ion Certificat­e of the Internatio­nal Civil Aviation Organisati­on (ICAO) to become an accredited internatio­nal centre that offers specialise­d programmes and courses in the field of aviation and airports.

Sheikh Ayman bin Ahmed Al Hosani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OAMC, Member of the Board of Directors of the Airports Council Internatio­nal (ACI) handed over the Internatio­nal Accreditat­ion Certificat­e to the Director General of Human Resources and Management and Director of the Company’s Training and Developmen­t Centre.

Abdullah bin Saleh Al Yafei, Director General of Human Resources and Management, said the Internatio­nal Civil Aviation Organisati­on (ICAO) has adopted a training centre in the company to provide services from January 1, 2018.

He added that the centre has started to promote and address companies operating in the field of aviation and wishing to train, qualify and raise the efficiency of its human resources in specialisa­tions and programmes offered by the centre.

Ali bin Abdullah Al Aysari, Director of the Company’s Training and Developmen­t Centre, said that over the past three years, the centre has implemente­d more than 250 training programmes to qualify the company’s human cadres within the framework of the company’s keenness to train its human resources in line with the strategy developed by the executive management with the start of operating the new terminal on 20 March 2018. He added that the centre continues to provide training and qualificat­ion programmes and courses approved by ICAO.
