A large, slanted upper grille, set off by thick chrome plating, extends around the prominent trapezoidal front bumper, adding to its appeal,” he added.
The Fortuner is available with petrol engines that include a 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine producing 164HP& 25.0 Kg-m of Torque. The 4.0 Litre V6 Engine churns-out 235HP along with 38.3 Kg-m of Torque.
The Fortuner is also available with a 2.4-litre diesel engine variant sporting a 4-cylinder engine that generates 148 HP and 41.0Kgm of torque. The 2.8 Litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine produces 174 HP & 46 Kg-m of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission, available as a standard option, provides thrilling acceleration.
Toyota Fortuner has a powerful air conditioner. Other innovative touches include a 7-inch navigation system with a full-colour display. The rearview camera ensures peace of mind when reverse parking. The 6-speaker audio system enhances its harmonious ambience and to add to the convenience, there is a power back door system that can be operated electronically.
The Fortuner’s frame structure enhances the feeling of steering input and rear end grip. Its suspension comfortably absorbs vibrations to provide a ride that is the envy of a luxury SUV.

The Fortuner is equipped with SRS driver airbag, SRS front passenger airbag and SRS knee airbag (driver’s side). In terms of seatbelts, a three-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelt is equipped on all seats.
When an impact is experienced during a collision, the Seatbelt Locks to restrain the passenger. Other reassuring safety features include the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The Fortuner is available in either 17” all-terrain tyres or the 18” alloy wheels with highway terrain tyresdepending on the grade selected. It has a Follow Me Home Light apart from rear-parking sensors.
