More than 400 illegal migrants deported from the Sultanate

MUSCAT: Police have arrested 388 illegal migrants of various nationalities in Oman for illegally entering the country.

According to statistics issued by the Department of Intrusion Prevention in the General Directorate of Operations, in cooperation with military and security forces, Royal Oman Police made the arrests over the period of one month, in February.

Statistics also show that 420 illegal migrants were deported after taking the necessary legal procedures and coordinating with the embassies of their countries.

Police have called on the community to cooperate and combat this phenomenon, by immediately reporting these cases either by calling 9999 or by going to the nearest police station.
