Naama Al Ghaithy, one of the participants of the airport trails commented, “I was excited to be at the new airport during the trials. It was wonderful. Everybody loves to travel, now we can travel in style. The interiors are beautiful and well designed. There are numerous check-in counters, unlike the present airport which will reduce the waiting hours and make our travel smoother. The new airport has elevated the standards of our travel to an international level.”

The first flight at the new Muscat International Airport is expected to land at approximately 6pm, and the final flight from the old Muscat International Airport will take off at 3pm today.

From today onwards, all international and domestic flights will be operated from the new Muscat International Airport and passengers are required to adhere to strict reporting time of three hours before their flight’s scheduled time of departure, while those who need to cancel their visas need to report four hours before the time of departure.

This is applicable for, both, international and domestic flights.
