Oman Data Park to provide help to SalamAir website

MUSCAT: Oman Data Park (ODP) will provide infrastructural support for SalamAir’s website, following an agreement between the two parties.
ODP signed a contract with SalamAir at COMEX 2018 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday. “SalamAir relies heavily on its website, which receives a lot of traffic. Its availability and security are crucial to the company, as well as its users. Oman Data Park has the required skills, technical knowhow and a team of dedicated professionals who are assigned to such key assignments,” said Ahmed Al Shaaili, General Manager, Corporate Service, at ODP.
“We are delighted with this new partnership with SalamAir and thank them for trusting us with this project,” he added.
As one of the newest airlines in the country, SalamAir is dedicated to ensuring its services continue to be appreciated by the public. “SalamAir is in a stage of development and for that reason we decided to hand over the task to ODP to have better security and efficiency and to help users, as 60 per cent of our sales are done through the website,” said Abu Baker Al Balushi, Head of Information Communication Technology Department at SalamAir.
“For the convenience of our customers, we will soon launch mobile and online check-in applications as well,” Abu Baker added.
