-

MUSCAT: Quester is a heavyduty truck range designed for a wide variety of applications - including off and on-road use, construction, distribution and longhaul transportation.

It is specifically designed for the emerging markets and has been tested extensively in the Middle East conditions.

High-end technology

The sturdy range is a product of high-end global technology, Japanese craftsmanship and cost efficiency in manufacturing and sourcing. UD Trucks being part of the Volvo group has gained tremendous technical knowhow for the development of the Quester range.

Quester performs impressively at all the operating conditions with good fuel efficiency and satisfies owners’ expectations of operation efficiency and profitability. Quester is built after refining the design and construction based on insights from customers’ day-to-day needs and cutting-edge knowledge available at UD Trucks’ R & D centres based all over the world.

Quester has a built-in fuel-efficient engine and proven driveline, which gives the ability to optimise the power output, transmission capability and rear axle ratio. A well-specified powertrain ensures that the engine operates at its peak efficiency at all times, enabling good fuel consumption and comfortable driving experience to the driver.

The fuel coaching system gives feedback to the driver on how to operate the truck in a fuel-efficient manner. Drivers using the fuel coaching system can expect to get improved fuel-efficiency from 5% to 30% by following the instructions.

Savings through efficient use of fuel matters a lot for long-haul trucks. Not only for long-haul trucks, fuel-efficiency also reduces costs of construction and mining companies in a big way. Effective driver training methods employed by UD trucks and Al Hashar leads to improvement in driver efficiency and profitability to the owners. Quester trucks are fitted with on and off-road tyres that run longer, making a big difference in operating costs.

Quester has a wide range of models on 4 x 2, 6 x 4 and 8 x 4 drive configurations available in 21 - 41 tonnes GVW range for rigid chassis category and 48 - 80 tonnes GCW range for tractor category. The focus on fuel efficiency reduces the fuel consumption per ton of payload leading to higher profitability.

“UD” in UD Trucks means “Ultimate Dependability”, which is based on proven Japanese technological innovation and strength of the materials used in the construction of the truck. Moreover, UD trucks offer excellent resale value compared to other Japanese brands considering the long-lasting and proven performance of UD Trucks in Oman market.
