Oman, Ireland sign MoU
DUBLIN: Dr. Rawya bint Saud Al Busaidiya, Minister of Higher Education yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ireland within the framework of the official visit of the Minister of Higher Education and her accompanying delegation to the Republic of Ireland, as part of enhancing cooperation in the areas serving the higher education sector.
The agreement was signed by Mary Michel O’Connor, Irish Minister of State and Education.
The MoU included the encouragement of the two sides to exchange academic staff, professors and researchers, as well as students, including postgraduate students. The memorandum also included enhancing exchanges in science, knowledge and modern technology, exchanging experience in the field of practical and professional development of academic staff and implementing joint research projects.
It was also agreed to encourage participation in scientific and local conferences and educational and practical workshops between the two parties.
The Higher Education Minister and her accompanying delegation visited the Higher Education and Technical Institute, the Dublin Institute of Technology, the Labor Market Studies and Irish Skills Unit.
