Bank Sohar picks fourth monthly draw winners of Al Mumayaz

MUSCAT: Bank Sohar held its fourth monthly prize draws for the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme announcing 44 lucky winners, at the bank’s Ibri branch, under the patronage of Dr Khalaf bin Salim bin Abdullah Al Ishaqi, Wali of Ibri.

Representi­ng the bank at the event was Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi, Senior AGM Retail Banking, head of Retail Banking at Bank Sohar, Redha Al Lawati, senior chief manager of Retail Liabilitie­s and Sales and Hamed Nasser Al Hinai, senior branch manager of Ibri Branch marking the bank’s promise to further customer excellence with continued rewards for loyalty and savings.

The event welcomed guests from across Ibri and neighbouri­ng wilayats for a traditiona­l gathering with Omani coffee and halwa. Hamed Nasser Al Hinai, senior branch manager of Ibri Branch delivered a short welcome speech, followed by a beautiful flow of poetry from the Omani poet Mohamed Al Hinai. A short overview on the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2018 was given to attendees by Redha Al Lawati followed by honouring of Ibri Band for Performing Arts who have emerged recently as group dedicated to positive change in the community. The event was crowned by revealing the names of the lucky winners for the month of April. The day’s deliveranc­e of prizes began beforehand with an audience raffle and finally ended with the guest of honour being given a token of appreciati­on by the bank officials and a group photo.

The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2018 Monthly Draws witnessed F. M. M. and J.M. H. win OMR5,000 under the General Draw category; whilst Baraa Al Balushi (Minor) and Jude Al Jamali (Minor) collected OMR500 each in the Children’s Draw; in addition to Q.A. and A.S. Al Jadeedisco­oping OMR2,500 each in the Women’s Draw; and Saif Al Sarihiand M.A.M. taking OMR10,000 in the exclusive draws.

The monthly special branch draws witnessed customers from each of the bank’s branches win OMR1,000 each. This included Nasser Al Badias the lucky winner from the Al Buraimi Branch, A. Under the bank’s general draws the 2018 edition of Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme offers a chance to win OMR1,000 daily, as well as OMR5,000 monthly (2 winners), and OMR20,000 at year’s end (4 winners). Awarding minors and encouragin­g them and their parents to save, the Children’s Draw offers OMR100 daily, OMR500 monthly (2 winners), and OMR2,500 at year’s end (4 winners). Incorporat­ing the female segment of the customer base, the scheme offers dedicated female draws of OMR500 daily, OMR2,500 monthly (2 winners), and OMR10,000 at year’s end (4 winners). Rewarding those that save more, the Exclusive Draws offer OMR1,500 daily, OMR10,000 monthly (2 winners), and OMR50,000 at year’s end (4 winners). Ensuring that it rewards customers at each and every branch, special branch draws offer OMR1,000 monthly for one lucky winner in each respective locale nationwide.

To become eligible customers need to maintain a minimum monthly average balance of OMR100 for the daily general, children’s, and ladies draws; the monthly children and branch draws; as well as the Children’s Draw at year’s end. Entry into the monthly and annual selection requires a minimum monthly average balance of OMR1,000. Eligibilit­y to the monthly female and general draws; as well as the year’s end ladies and General Draws, customers need to maintain a minimum monthly average balance off OMR1,000. Maintainin­g a minimum monthly average balance of OMR10,000 entitles customers to enter the Exclusive Daily, monthly, and yearly draws. Account holders have four entries for every minimum average balance maintained in any of the above draws.

Children’s accounts receive double the chance of winning. Saving accounts that are maintained in AED, GBP and USD are also eligible to participat­e in the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme. Customers seeking additional benefits from saving without participat­ing in prize draws should contact the bank to discuss high interest accounts.
