NBO cash­back promo re­wards cus­tomers

For min­i­mum pur­chase of OMR5, cus­tomers are au­to­mat­i­cally en­tered to a daily draw to win up to OMR100. The re­warded amount will be trans­ferred to the win­ner’s credit card the next day af­ter his/her name is an­nounced on the bank’s so­cial me­dia chan­nels

MUS­CAT: In the spirit of the holy month of Ra­madan, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) launched a ‘cash­back’ cam­paign to re­ward NBO card­hold­ers for ev­ery­day pur­chases.

For min­i­mum pur­chase

of OMR5, cus­tomers are au­to­mat­i­cally en­tered to a daily draw to win up to OMR100. The re­warded amount will be trans­ferred to the win­ner’s credit card the next day af­ter his/her name is an­nounced on the bank’s so­cial me­dia chan­nels. Avail­able from May 6 the cam­paign will last for 40 days.

John Chang, chief re­tail bank­ing of­fi­cer at NBO, said: “We un­der­stand that Ra­madan is a spe­cial time of the year as cus­tomers spend qual­ity time with fam­ily and friends, for that, we wanted to make it more en­joy­able with our ‘cash­back’ cam­paign. As we un­der­stand the ex­tra ex­penses that ac­cu­mu­late dur­ing Ra­madan and Eid prepa­ra­tions, NBO de­cided to em­power their credit card­hold­ers by re­ward­ing them on pur­chases on gro­ceries, din­ing, and clothes shop­ping. By us­ing their credit cards dur­ing the cam­paign, cus­tomers will be able to man­age their budgets, con­trol their ex­penses, save more money, and get the chance to win back up to OMR100 on daily pur­chases”

He added: “NBO’s cus­tomer-fo­cused phi­los­o­phy is re­flected in the prod­ucts, ser­vices, and of­fers that the Bank in­tro­duces to the mar­ket. The cash­back cam­paign is one more way NBO is en­rich­ing their cus­tomers’ bank­ing ex­pe­ri­ence with greater fi­nan­cial so­lu­tions.”

In ad­di­tion to the daily draw, all card­hold­ers will en­joy ac­cu­mu­lat­ing points from ‘Nuqati’ pro­gramme. The point-based sys­tem is ap­plied on all day-to-day bank­ing activities and trans­ac­tions rang­ing from cards us­ages, ap­ply­ing for loans, salary trans­fers, de­posits, and in­ter­net and mo­bile bank­ing. In ad­di­tion to pay­ing mo­bile bills and credit top-ups, cus­tomers can use their ‘Nuqati’ points to re­deem ho­tel book­ings, pur­chas­ing air­line tick­ets, car rentals, pay­ing util­i­ties bills, pay­ing for credit card bills or mak­ing pur­chases through var­i­ous NBO POS ter­mi­nals.
