Dune London presents its Autumn/Winter 2018 collection
MUSCAT: Moving into the new season, clean silhouettes in white, ivory and scarlet create a fresh, sophisticated aesthetic and drive a seamless transition into autumn.
Classic shapes are complimented with contemporary twists such as ruching, contrasting side-stripes and scallop edges. Mid-heel ankle boots, sling back kitten heels and layered flatform loafers allow versatile autumn dressing.
In contrast, autumn’s prints are bold and impactful, where Prince of Wales heritage checks are mixed back with an endless array of animal print textures including zebra, cheetah, snow and red leopards.
Casual profiles continue to evolve for AW18, butter-soft leather snaffle loafers and slip-on mules are introduced in a palette of sunset red, molten gold, ink navy patent and off-white. Dark, matte tones feature on androgynous monk-strap brogues and flatform penny loafers. Star-gazer embellishment, vibrant animal prints and faux fur counters elevate the range. Trainers reach new heights with souped-up, hi-tech styles featuring chunky stacked cup soles and colourblock neoprene uppers.
The mule becomes this season’s hero piece, from satin Cinderella slippers to bejewelled babouche styles, heel heights are variable, making this one of AW18’s most versatile pieces. Heel interest also remains a key feature for the season ahead; from kick flare kittens to floral sculptured stilettos and baguette jewelled block heels.
Eveningwear reveals a decoration station of adornment and texture; treasure chest jewels, all-over diamante, bauble cluster embellishment and pearl brooch details make for beautifully ornate keepsake pieces. Classic stilettos and super-charged platform sandals are dressed in sweet wrapper shades of metallic pinks, holographic greens, purples and 24-carat gold, yearning for an 80’s revival.
Moving further into winter, a timeless collection of casual boots is introduced, from white western and lace-up Victoriana styles to pearl embellished bikers and clean leather knee highs. A focus on warm, functional winter styling is apparent in the form of heavy-duty, outdoor boots featuring ski-hook lace-up ties, faux fur lining, flatform treads and oversized buckle hardware.
Heeled boots become more refined, featuring soft suedes and sharp, pointed silhouettes in mid to thigh-high leg lengths, making everyday styles contemporary and wearable. A colour palette of ink navy, berry, taupe and black are mixed back with pops of scarlet red, bright white and ultraviolet.
