Indian School Ibri holds Kids Festival

MUSCAT: Indian School Ibri celebrated its 15th Kids Festival in grandness and glamour in the school auditorium on October 18, 2018.

The opening ceremony was marked by lighting of the lamp by the head girl Ms Neha Muhammed Rafi. During her welcome speech, she thanked the Principal, Mr Suresh, for giving all the students a platform to exhibit their hidden talents, and also declared the 15th Kids Festival open.

Mr Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, director in charge, Board of Directors, graced the occasion as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He was accorded a red carpet welcome at the school entrance by the President Dr Thomas Varghese, members of the school management committee, principal, staff and students followed by a guard of honour by the student council led by the Head Boy Mast. Ajzal Sharaf and the Head Girl Ms Neha Muhammed Rafi. The principal in his welcome speech extended a hearty welcome to the chief guest, SMC members, former president, Mr Abdul Gafoor Quadri, students, parents and staff.

He said that kids festival is not merely a matter to compete with others, but with oneself, and emphasized that by taking part in kids festival the children get colossal confidence in building their skills for their future developmen­t.

Dr Thomas Varghese, president of the SMC, appreciate­d the students for their extraordin­ary talents which was portrayed on the stage.

The chief guest while addressing the audience lauded the efforts put in by the students and teachers and congratula­ted all the kids who took part in the events and also thanked the principal and teachers for giving a platform for the students to exhibit their talents by organising kids and arts festivals.
