Indian School Ibri celebrates Arts Festival
MUSCAT: Indian School Ibri celebrated its 26th Arts Festival with great zest, vibrancy and elation in the school auditorium.
Established in 1993, the Arts Festival, the festival of talents aims to bring out the dormant talents of students and give them scope for creative expressions.
Dr J. Retnakumar, Chief Executive Officer, ISC- Insurance Services Centre, presided the occasion as the chief guest at the closing ceremony, on Saturday, 27th October. He was given a red carpet welcome at the school entrance by the members of the School Management Committee, the principal, staff and students followed by the guard of honour by the student council led by the Head boy Ajzal Sharaf and Head girl Neha Muhammed Rafi.
Principal, V. S. Suresh, in his welcome address extended a hearty welcome to the chief Guest, Dr J Retnakumar. Neha Muhammed Rafi presented a floral bouquet to the chief guest. Principal extended a cordial welcome to the School Management Committee President, Dr Thomas Varghese, Convenor, Unnikrishnan, Treasurer, Firoz Hussain, Members: Jamal Hassan, Dr Vijay Shanmugham, and Dr Suresh Balakrishnan and former SMC presidents, office bearers and members who attended the function. He also welcomed all the parents, staff and students for the closing ceremony.
The president greeted the chief guest, other dignitaries and the audience. He thanked the former president and members of the SMC for their sincere contributions and welcomed each one for the 26th Arts Festival. He whole heartedly thanked the chief guest for gracing the occasion.
The chief guest was superlative in his appreciation of the students, parents, teachers and the management for a classic programme presented.
