Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre in­ducts 84 trained Omani youth in its com­pany

Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre has pro­vided the start of a re­ward­ing ca­reer in dif­fer­ent sec­tions to the 84 skilled Omani youth

MUS­CAT: In keep­ing with the govern­ment’s ini­tia­tive of pro­vid­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties to lo­cal Omani tal­ent, Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre (TAC) in­ducted the largest num­ber of 84 fresh Omani grad­u­ates from the Na­tional Col­lege of Au­to­mo­tive Tech­nol­ogy (NCAT) in its show­rooms, ser­vice and parts fa­cil­i­ties through­out Oman. The fresh in­duc­tion is the most by any au­to­mo­tive com­pany in the na­tion.

At the Na­tional Ob­jec­tives Pro­gramme Grad­u­a­tion Cer­e­mony (13th Batch) held at the Oman Con­ven­tion & Ex­hi­bi­tion Cen­tre, the en­thu­si­as­tic Omani youth were hon­oured with a cer­tifi­cate, on com­ple­tion of their hands-on train­ing. Sheikh Nasser bin Hi­lal Al Maawali, Chair­man of the State Fi­nan­cial and Ad­min­is­tra­tive Au­dit In­sti­tu­tion was the Chief Guest at the func­tion. Also present on the oc­ca­sion was Riyadh Ali Sul­tan, Gen­eral Man­ager, and Aflah Nasser Al Shi­bli HR Man­ager, Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre (TAC).

Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre has pro­vided the start of a re­ward­ing ca­reer in light and heavy ve­hi­cle main­te­nance and re­pair, ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent re­pair/paint­ing body, ve­hi­cle sales, parts man­age­ment and cus­tomer ser­vice to the 84 skilled Omani youth. Four fe­male grad­u­ates are a part of the Call Cen­tre team.

As part of ca­reer en­hance­ment, Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre has built a rep­u­ta­tion for their high re­ten­tion rate and award­ing long ser­vice Omani em­ploy­ees, im­por­tant for the growth of the in­di­vid­ual and the com­pany.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion of the grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony, Riyadh Ali Sul­tan, Gen­eral Man­ager, Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre (TAC), said, “Our youth are our fu­ture. Hence at TAC, we en­cour­age them in every pos­si­ble way. We are happy to wel­come 84 Omani skilled youth to our team and wish them all suc­cess in their ca­reer. They have al­ready joined in May, straight out of col­lege where they were given hands-on train­ing.”

Aflah Nasser Al Shi­bli, HR Man­ager, Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre (TAC), said, “Our Omani youth have come in from all our sales, ser­vice and parts cen­tres through­out Oman, from Sur, So­har, Ibra, Ibri, Barka, Nizwa to be present at the grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony. We have even flown in our Omani tal­ent from Salalah to be present on this mo­men­tous oc­ca­sion.”

Tow­ell Auto Cen­tre, amongst the pi­o­neers in the au­to­mo­bile busi­ness in Oman since 1972, rep­re­sents Mazda, Geely, Higer Buses and Pick­ups, JAC Trucks and In­ter­na­tional Trucks in the au­to­mo­tive arena.

Na­tional Col­lege of Au­to­mo­tive Tech­nol­ogy L.L.C (NCAT), the first pri­vate col­lege of its kind in the field of au­to­mo­tive, pro­vides the au­to­mo­tive, trans­porta­tion and lo­gis­tics sec­tors in Oman with na­tion­ally and highly skilled tech­ni­cians, master tech­ni­cians, and spe­cial­ists.

NCAT pro­vides pro­grammes of aca­demic stud­ies, com­pe­tency based train­ing and short cour­ses. These pro­grammes are ac­cred­ited lo­cally and in­ter­na­tion­ally. The aim of the col­lege is to grad­u­ate qual­i­fied pro­fes­sion­als with in­ter­na­tional ac­cred­i­ta­tion in the field of au­to­mo­tive. The col­lege was es­tab­lished as the first cen­tre of ex­cel­lence in the field of au­to­mo­tive ed­u­ca­tion and train­ing. It acts as the main con­trib­u­tor in qual­i­fy­ing and train­ing the na­tional work­force in the au­to­mo­tive sec­tor by of­fer­ing world-class learn­ing and train­ing pro­grammes.

The col­lege of­fers an ad­vanced di­ploma, com­pe­tency-based train­ing and short cour­ses.
