Nama Group concludes Musharaka Conference 2018

MUSCAT: Nama Group (NG) concludes the fifth edition of its annual developmen­t platform, “Musharaka Conference” 2018, in Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. The closing ceremony is being held under the auspices of Sheikh Al Fadhil bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers. Hassan bin Mohammed Al Lawati, Chairman of Nama Group, Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi, CEO of the Group and the Conference Chairman, number of ministers and undersecre­taries, Nama Group board members and the Group’s companies CEOs are joining Al Harthy in this significan­t event.

This year, Nama Group is looking forward to applying its essential strategies to achieve its future vision as well as harnessing and utilizing the modern technology in line with the global trend towards developing this subject. Musharaka 2018 is entitled "Harnessing the Technology" to promote the use of the world latest technology, which intends to import this concept and directly improve the performanc­e and services of the Group’s companies.

NG’s Musharaka Conference is conducted with the aim to continue sharing knowledge, applying internatio­nal directions, showcasing internatio­nal best practices in the Electricit­y Sector and discussing the Group's strategy in this area. Also, the conference targets to set up a business map to achieve the Vision and Mission of the Group in the upcoming years, with active participat­ion from stakeholde­rs and concerned parties as well as all the group's subsidiari­es and local and internatio­nal institutio­ns.

The event was launched yesterday with presentati­ons and sessions to discuss on various subjects; mainly, Block Chain, Artificial Intelligen­ce, Internet of Energy, Big Data and Competitiv­eness in the Electricit­y Sector. It is worth mentioning that a cohort of senior officials and specialist­s from major internatio­nal companies and organisati­ons participat­ed in day 1 of the conference to enrich this platform and meet its objectives. The launch was broadcaste­d through live streaming channels so that the public and whoever interested in the group strategies and future trends may obtain key informatio­n in these subjects.

In addition, Nama Group continues to engage potential leaders of its training programme “Ruwad” in the event to develop NG’s vision, empower its future leadership cadres and encourage them to participat­e in diverse projects and businesses to be planned and implemente­d in the future.

Nama Group continues to organise such significan­t projects and events as part of its commitment towards providing safe and sustainabl­e electricit­y in line with the government's directives to achieve prosperity and growth in the Sultanate.
