64 teams take part in Badr Badminton League

MUSCAT: Badr Al Samaa organised the third edition of Badr Badminton League (BBL) recently. Total 64 teams participated, comprising doctors and staff representing every centre of Badr Al Samaa Group. The venue of this mega sporting event was Indian School Muscat, Darsait where 76 matches from league till final were played.

There were four competitions held under BBL and they include Inter Badr Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Badr Ruwi Senior and Juniors Men’s category. In the first category, Badr Al Samaa, Ruwi won against Sur and the winners were Dr Moideen Kunhi, Specialist Orthopaedician and Jahy V H, Physiotherapist and the runners up were Dr Abhilash V, Specialist Paediatrician and Dr Mohan S R, Specialist Orthopaedician. The winners of mixed Doubles were Dr Abhilash V, Specialist Paediatrician and Dr Saritha, Specialist Anasthesia and the runners up were Dr Lenoy C. Cherian, Specialist Othopaedician and Dr Grazena P. Boaz, General Practitioner. The winners of Badr Ruwi Senior category were Jahy V. H, Physiotherapist and Suhail T. M. and the runners up were Muneer P. V., Pharmacist and Abhilash K. P., Bio Medical Engineer. Badr Ruwi Juniors Men’s, the winners were Mehroof, IT and Mohammed Riswan, IT and the runnersup were Rameez Ibrahim, Customer Care and Raju Paramb, CSSD.

The event came to an end with glittering award ceremony presentation attended by Board of Directors Dr P. A. Mohammed and Dr V. T. Vinod, Executive Directors, Naveej Vinod, Moideen Kunhi Bilal, Dr Nithin Vinod, Group CEO, Dr Shafeek Muhammed, Group Chief Finance Officer, Alwin George, Chief Marketing Officer, K. O. Devassy, other senior management, doctors and staff. Board of Directors, Executive Directors and senior management presented trophies and prizes to the winners, runners-up, and to raffle draw and predict and win lucky winners.
