ISM celebrates 44th Annual Day
MUSCAT: Indian School Muscat celebrated its 44th Annual Day on November 15, in the New Multipurpose Hall of the school. It was a day of euphoria and joie de vivre. The Chief Guest Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, Board of Directors and Director-in –Charge of Indian School Muscat and Guest of Honour, Ajay Kumaar J., President, Indian School Muscat, graced the occasion. The august gathering comprised of esteemed members of the Board of Directors of all Indian Schools in Oman, Principal Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, Senior Vice Principal, Administration, Vice Principals of various sections, Assistant Vice Principals, students, teachers parents and well wishers.
A red carpet reception awaited the eminent dignitaries and they were warmly received by the guard of honour by the Student Council, Captains and Vice Captains of the school. The auspicious occasion commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the guest of honour who were accompanied by other dignitaries and the principal. This was followed by the poignant rendition of the prayer by the school choir which set the perfect tone for the gracious occasion.
The Head Girl of the school Alina Thomas welcomed the gathering. Samyuktha Sathian and Dhanvi Bharadwaj, students of the senior section presented the Annual Report for the Academic Year 2018 – 2019 along with an impressive digital presentation about the brilliant achievements of Indian School Muscat in both academics and co-curricular activities and various initiatives of the school.
Faizi in his address to the audience lauded the school for its 44 years of success in grooming young minds. He congratulated the students and staff for the excellent board results. He lauded the students and teachers for their collaborative effort in raising the standard of the school. He exhorted the students to remember the value of time. He advised them to seize every opportunity for self improvement and to develop perseverance in their efforts to evolve as responsible global citizens.
Ajay Kummar, in his address applauded the Student Council members and the Prefects for their commitment. He encouraged the students to take care of their physical and mental health and respect their elders and also emphasised the need for lifelong commitment to values. He called upon the students to be happy and make each day a day of celebration.
