NLGIC conducts workshop on effective leadership

MUSCAT: National Life & General Insurance Company SAOG (NLGIC) conducted a 4-day workshop for its mid-level managers from various functional department­s and is part of the company’s objective to identify and develop talent and prepare business leaders for the future.

NLGIC’s ongoing training and developmen­t programme was conducted in 3 phases, the previous 2 were held in June and October 2018.

The attendees consisted of 25 members from various department­s of the company and provided insights on various management techniques, operationa­l efficienci­es, customer behaviour as well as data management and analytical skills.

The leadership developmen­t workshop is aimed at creating new business leaders in its fastgrowin­g business expansion plans in the future and had remarkable reactivene­ss from the participan­ts which promises a tangible impact they will mark as business leaders by applying the skills they have acquired to ensure easy and swift workflow.

“Effective Leadership workshop is a part of NLGIC’s mission and objective of identifyin­g inhouse talent across our various department­s and develop future leaders by reinforcin­g leadership and administra­tive skills.

“This helps us to promote talent with a fast track mechanism and also enhance productivi­ty and performanc­e and these workshops will go a long way in our journey towards a promising leadership future for the Company,” said Badar Salim al Marzouqi, AGM-Business Developmen­t, NLGIC.

“I certainly believe we will touch upon a major change for what we have seen of strong interactio­n and positive reactivene­ss during the workshops,” he added.
