Indian School Ghubra organises annual day celebrations of Elementary School
MUSCAT: The Annual Day Celebrations of Kindergarten and Classes 1 and 2 of Indian School Al Ghubra was held on December 6, 2018. Fazeela Sunil, wife of Sunil Katakath, Convenor, School Management Committee, was the chief guest. The event began with the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India. The Principal, Papri Ghosh in her speech welcomed the chief guest.
The celebrations began with the welcome song by the students of Classes 1 and 2. The musical titled ‘Tropical Vibes’ by the students of Kindergarten carried the audience on a tropical vacation around the islands of Hawaii, Thailand, Fiji, Sumatra and the Philippines to get soaked in the rich traditions and exotic culture. The colourful costumes and vibrant dance movements added to the richness of the tropical environment. The backdrop with its sandy beaches and pristine waters with coconut palms held the audience spellbound.
This was followed by ‘In the footsteps of – A musical, by the students of Classes 1 & 2. Robin, a patriot, tours around the country on his mission to explore rural India, following the footsteps and the teachings of the Mahatma. The musical brought home the message that the future depends on what you do today. The beautiful farm setting, the colourful ethnic costumes and the various folk dances of India complemented the vibrant music.
This colourful and spectacular event concluded with the vote of thanks and was appreciated by parents and well-wishers of the school.
